Established bespoke jewellers Russel Ankers has now opened in Tenbury Wells.
In 1997, Russell’s journey in the world of jewellery craftsmanship began as an apprentice with a distinguished family-run business nestled in the historic city of Chester.
Starting with fundamental tasks such as chain repairs, his skill set gradually expanded, encompassing more intricate processes like ring sizing’s and comprehensive jewellery repairs for various pieces, including rings, chains, bracelets, and earrings.
The pivotal moment in Russell’s career arrived in 2002 when he earned his Professional Jewellers’ Diploma from the prestigious National Association of Jewellers (NAJ). Armed with this certification, he seamlessly transitioned into crafting commission items. Collaborating closely with clients, he found immense joy in bringing their unique designs to life, whether through meticulous handcrafting or the intricate art of wax carving for subsequent casting.
Over the course of 25 enriching years, Russell has had the privilege of creating countless bespoke jewellery pieces, each a testament to the celebration of love and individuality. His clientele includes numerous elated couples and the occasional notable figure from the celebrity sphere. This journey has not only deepened Russell’s appreciation for the artistry of jewellery but has also underscored the profound significance it holds in people’s lives.
For the last four years Russell has been operating from a private studio working, visiting clients, and establishing himself across the local community.
With a heart full of passion for his craft, Russell has now reached a new milestone: the decision to establish his own Jewellers with onsite workshop. This marks the beginning of an exciting chapter where he can channel decades of experience and creativity into a space that reflects his dedication to the timeless art of jewellery making. Russell is eager to embark on this venture, continuing to create one-of-a-kind pieces that capture the essence of personal stories and milestones.
