Creativesconnect23 is a new community mobilisation, bringing together venues, artists, performers and artisans to support and create opportunity. It is led by Kirsty Cubberley of Phoenix Theatre Collective and is for Malvern and its surrounding areas. Kirsty said: “we are a bunch of creatives working professionally in the area and want to build a community of opportunity and energy, with and for each other: we can be immediate, responsive and as active as the energy we have. So, get involved!”
Their remit is threefold:
- To work together and create a noise for venues, businesses, creative individuals and their skills and talents – to start a ‘ground swell’ and bring back a connected local spark to our much-loved creative community.
- To create a thriving social group for Artists/Creatives, who often work solo, to find community and social exchange.
- To promote professional skills and venues, connecting skill sets with needs and to promote local work for local artists.
If you run a venue and would like to get in on the action, or if you are an artist, performer, writer, producer, filmmaker, digital designer, photographer, arts organiser, fund application writer, graphic designer, printer: they would love to hear from you… and any other creative industry, of course!
