A new community amenity launched on the Eastnor Estate yesterday as The Woodshed opened for business.
Set in the old Woodyard entrance to Eastnor Deer Park, The Woodshed will be open daily from 9.30am until 4.00pm, serving take-away hot and cold drinks, locally-made cakes, ice creams and light snacks.
A new area has been established for free parking, making an excellent gateway for exploring both Eastnor Deer Park and the southern end of the Malvern Hills. Sheltered and outdoor seating is available as well as toilets, a bike rack, litter bins, a dog wash and a dog waste bin.
Eastnor resident and cake maker Bec Swan, from Home Farm Kitchen, is supplying the cakes and will be crossing the road to deliver them each morning.
David Littlewood, General Manager at Eastnor Castle & Estate, said:
“We are thrilled that The Woodshed is finally open and we’re looking forward to welcoming both our local community and visitors from further afield to enjoy a refreshment stop before or after a walk in Eastnor Deer Park or the Malvern Hills.”
“The Woodshed building has stood empty for many years so it’s fantastic to see it being used again and bringing a new facility to the village.” Further information can be found from www.eastnorcastle.com/the-woodshed
