Building on the success of the Tenbury Wells ‘Foodie’ Christmas Market, which took place in 2020 at The Round Market, Malvern Hills District Council in partnership with Tesco and Boffy Arts Markets launched a brand new Christmas event for Tenbury Wells. The new Christmas Markets event took place on the 2nd night of Late Night Christmas Shopping on Thursday 9 December 2021 2pm-7pm.
The Tenbury Wells Christmas Markets event incorporated a Boffy Arts Market at the Tesco Market Place, which was the first time the space had been used since the store opened in 2017, and was a fantastic addition to the Christmas shopping event. The historic Round Market also hosted stalls which encouraged people to explore all the shops along Teme Street and Market Street – particularly the ones which stayed open later into the evening for Late Night Christmas shopping.
The event included festive music and entertainment from The Royal British Legion Choir, Tenbury Primary School Choir, Tenbury Primary Year Six Girls Choir and Tenbury Town Band all adding to the festive cheer.
Due to the positive feedback from shop owners, stallholders, residents and visitors, we will return the festive cheer and the Tenbury Wells Christmas Markets event on Thursday 8 December 2022 – 2pm-7pm.
