A traditional ploughman's lunch

Experience the tastes and history of Upton upon Severn on this magical 4 hour excursion.  Upton is a beautiful riverside town in Worcestershire which offers visitors many unique experiences.  This tour provides a look at the local heritage of the area and a chance to taste the local produce Worcestershire is renowned for.

The experience begins at Clive’s Fruit Farm for a guided tour, where you will hear how the owners create a viable working fruit farm, despite a flooding landscape which means the strawberries have to be grown on raised beds.  You will then see how the apple juice is made before tasting both the various types of apple juice and Perry cider.  This will be followed by a tasty locally sourced Ploughman’s lunch using products from Clive’s farm shop (a meat free alternative will be available).

Afterwards there will be an escorted tour of the town of Upton, visiting the riverside and the historic and iconic Old Church Tower (the “Pepperpot”) You will hear about flooding, wars and pestilence on the way along with the rich array of festivals that take place in Upton every year.

The group will visit inside the Old Church Tower (the “Pepperpot”) and hear from the Guides about the tragic events that made history on this very site.

The final stop is a historical and characterful black-and-white pub in the centre of Upton to relax and chat about the day.  Enjoy a local steamed pudding, available in an assortment of tantalising  flavours, accompanied by coffee or tea.

This group tour requires a minimum of 25 people and all food and drink is included. Price on application, based on group size.
