Event Description

Visit Eastnor Castle, the home of the Hervey-Bathurst family, and discover the grandeur of the rooms with a guided tour. Enjoy a stroll around the grounds afterwards and marvel at the magnificent trees in the arboretum, alongside a breath-taking lake.

Heritage Open Day visitors will be treated to a guided tour of the state rooms and bedrooms of Eastnor Castle, after which they are welcome to enjoy the castle grounds, tree trail, arboretum, and lakeside walk.

Eastnor Castle is now the home of the Hervey-Bathurst family, grandsons of Arthur Cocks, 6th Baron Somers and is surrounded by a beautiful arboretum and lake. It has richly decorated interiors containing medieval armour, fine art and tapestries.

Visitors who explore the castle can view the magnificent state rooms including the Great Hall, State Dining Room, Gothic Drawing Room, and Octagon Saloon. Visitors are invited to enter the Castle through the magnificent main doors.

The beautiful grounds are home to a spectacular arboretum and a magnificent lake where visitors can walk freely or follow set trails and walks to discover some breath-taking views and landscapes.

Please remember that for Heritage Open Day entry, you must pre-book a tour. These take place 10am, 11.30am and 1pm and can be booked online.
