Event Description

Follow road, rail, river and path ways to the past, to the present and maybe to the future to discover connections between the people of Hanley Castle and St Mary’s Church, the Parish and the wider world outside the parish boundaries.

Delve into an exhibition exploring the routes to and from St Mary’s Church and how they illuminate the connections between the people of the parish and the outside world. Discover links to King John, Bishop Bonner, P.G. Wodehouse, the Order of St John, Thomas Attwood MP and the Lechmere family.

Follow the Wyche Way, the Upton to Malvern Railway, the River Severn and the Via Regalis through ancient fields, modern agriculture and God’s creation. Read local stories from local people celebrating their connection to their local church.
