Event Description

If you’re looking for something to do in Worcestershire, why not treat yourself or a loved one to the gift of a wonderful day out in the beautiful grounds of an old Tudor farmhouse, and learn the historical arts of medieval and renaissance fencing?

The course will cover the knightly art of the German longsword, and the fundamentals of Italian sidesword, rapier and dagger, as taught by the Italian sword master, Ridolfo Capoferro!

We’ll cover the theory you’ll need, but this will be very much a practical experience where we hope to inspire you to get started on your fencing journey!

No prior experience is required, so come and breathe the freshest air and feel the sun (or equally likely rain) on your face. We will provide all the protective equipment and gear you need. All you have to do is turn up, have fun and make friends!

You’ll need to provide your own packed lunch, but light refreshments will be provided too. You should be dressed in garments suitable for sporting activities, i.e. trainers, joggers, t-shirt.
