Event Description

The Midlands Air Ambulance service is the charity the Festival supports as they do a wonderful job rescuing folk injured on outside events – fortunately we’ve never needed their services. Annually they invite us to visit their air base behind Strensham motorway services on the northbound M5 just past junc 8, where hopefully we will meet the medics and hear about the wonderful service they provide and see over the helicopter. There is of course a risk that they will be out on an emergency call, in which case we will have to settle for an interesting presentation by one of their staff.

As this is a walking festival, after the visit to the base, we’ll drive back to Upton for a leisurely 2 mile walk around by the River Severn before departing and the Walking Festival then closes for another year

You may want to bring some liquid refreshment and snacks for the afternoon / evening.

No stiles and no altitude gain.
