Event Description
Can good friends Mole, Ratty and Badger help Mr Toad after one adventure too far? Adapted from Kenneth Grahame’s classic children’s novel with music by Edward Elgar, this family concert invites its audience to join in with the story.
Before the story commences, the audience will learn dance sequences that represent Toad in his car speeding through the lanes, and in contrast a sequence of moves that represent the river. This story has been especially adapted for Toscana Strings – Stories Set To Music, with the music being carefully chosen to enhance the storytelling.
All the music is by Elgar and includes sections from Salut d’amour, La Capricieuse, Pomp and Circumstance No 1 and 4, Nimrod, Troyte, Serenade for Strings, Nursery Suite, Cello Concerto and Bavarian Dances.
The Firs will be closed to the public so it will be a family friendly day where the property will be exclusively open for concert ticket holders only.
