Enclosures
Circular walk optionally involving some steep sections.
The walk explores the banks and ditches which are to be found running over the Northern Malverns. Many of these mark the boundaries created in the seventeenth century when the Chase was sectioned off into thirds, one of which was assigned to Charles I as a means to raise revenue.
The walk provides a number of routes which allow you to explore the these boundaries as you wish. You will also be treated to splendid views from Worcestershire Beacon, Sugarloaf, Table, End and North Hills.
The banks and ditches will have maximum visibility in the late Winter and early Spring, when bracken is not present and sunlight has a low angle.
